The world would be robbed

If you are having thoughts of ending your life, hurting yourself, or you are a parent watching someone you love disappear into a darkness you can’t reach — you have found the right place. We are The Tiny Room, and this is exactly the work we were built for.
If you are having thoughts of ending your life, hurting yourself, or you are a parent watching someone you love disappear into a darkness you can’t reach — you have found the right place. We are The Tiny Room, and this is exactly the work we were built for.
You are not too far gone. You are not beyond reach. And you do not have to carry this alone for another day.
We know what it feels like to sit with thoughts that terrify you. Thoughts that tell you the people you love would be better off without you. Thoughts that have been quietly getting louder for weeks, months, or maybe years. Thoughts you haven’t told anyone because you don’t know how — or because you’re afraid of what happens if you do.
We also know what it feels like to be the parent, the partner, the friend who can see someone they love slipping away and feel completely powerless to stop it. The sleepless nights. The watching and waiting. The desperate searching for someone who actually knows what to do.
You found that someone.
At The Tiny Room we have spent over 12 years working with people in exactly the place you are standing right now. We are not frightened by your darkness. We are not going to tell you to think positive or push through. We are going to sit with you exactly where you are and guide you — step by step, week by week — towards a life that feels worth living again.
You reached out. That took courage. We will take it from here.
We don't do crisis management. We do crisis transformation.
There is a significant difference between getting through today and building a life you actually want to live. We are here for both. But we never stop at just getting through.
The Tiny Room was built on one conviction — that the people who are struggling the most deserve the most structured, purposeful, and expertly guided therapeutic support available. Not a waiting list. Not a generic referral. Not open-ended sessions that circle the same pain without ever moving through it.
We offer one therapeutic process — The Tiny Room Integrated Therapeutic Framework, or TTRITF. It is an evidence-based, structured 8-week journey that was developed specifically because we believed that people in the deepest pain needed more than a space to talk. They needed a process that actually worked.
TTRITF draws from three of the most powerful therapeutic approaches in the world:
CBT — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
To identify and interrupt the thought patterns that are telling you life is not worth living. Because those thoughts are not the truth — they are symptoms. And symptoms can be reverse engineered to a place of health.
Logotherapy
To rebuild your sense of meaning and purpose. Because at the core of most suicidal thinking is a profound loss of reason to stay. We help you find yours again — and build on it deliberately, week by week.
ACT — Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
To teach you how to move forward even when everything still feels unbearable. Not by pretending the pain isn’t there — but by learning to carry it differently while committing to a life that matters to you.
Together these three approaches don’t just pull you back from the edge. They build something solid underneath you so you don’t return to it.
This is not about surviving. This is about learning — for the first time or all over again — what it feels like to truly live.
Here is exactly what your 8 weeks looks like.
No surprises. No guesswork. Just a clear, human journey from your very first contact to your final session.
Step 1 — You complete our intake form.
It takes about ten minutes. It asks you about what you’re carrying, how long you’ve been carrying it, and what you need right now. There are no wrong answers. You don’t need to have the right words. Just be as honest as you can — that honesty is what allows us to show up for you properly from session one.
Step 2 — We contact you within one business day.
A member of our team will reach out personally to answer any questions, confirm your details, and book your first session. You will not be left waiting in silence.
Step 3 — You attend your first session.
This is where you meet your therapist, understand the TTRITF process in full, and begin. You don’t need to prepare anything. You don’t need to arrive with answers or explanations or a neat summary of your pain. You just need to walk through the door. Everything else we do together.
Step 4 — You commit to your eight weeks.
Each session builds deliberately on the one before it. This is not a process you can dip in and out of — the structure is precisely what makes it work. For someone navigating suicidal thoughts or a mental health crisis, that consistency is not just helpful. It is essential. We ask for your commitment because your progress — your life — depends on it.
Step 5 — You leave with something no one can take away.
By the end of your eighth session you will have tools, insight, clarity, and a relationship with yourself that is fundamentally different to the one you arrived with. The thoughts that brought you here will not have the same power over you. The darkness will not feel as absolute. And you will know — not just believe, but know — that the world is not better off without you in it.
The hardest step is the first one. Everything after that, we do together.
Cost will not stand between you and getting better. Not here.
We built The Tiny Room on the conviction that professional, expert therapy should be accessible to anyone who needs it. Our rates are deliberately structured well below the standard market rate for registered therapy in South Africa — because we believe that your life is worth more than a waiting list and a R1,200 per session price tag.
The standard market rate for registered professional therapy in South Africa is R1,200 or more per session. We charge less because we believe accessibility is not a luxury — it is a responsibility.
Medical Aid
We are linked to most major medical aids in South Africa. Before completing our intake form we strongly recommend that you contact your medical aid directly to confirm whether they will reimburse our procedure code 89205. One call could mean your therapy costs you significantly less than you think.
If you have a formal PMB — Prescribed Minimum Benefit — diagnosis, you may qualify for full or partial medical aid coverage. Simply email your proof of PMB diagnosis to us at [email protected] and we will complete the necessary application on your behalf.
Questions about virtual sessions, pricing, or medical aid? Contact us before completing the form. We will answer everything.
You stayed. You read this far. That means something.
It means some part of you is still fighting. Some part of you is not ready to give up. That part of you brought you here and that part of you is right.
We have guided hundreds of people who sat exactly where you are sitting right now. People who were convinced they were too far gone. People who had stopped believing that anything could be different. People who almost didn’t make the call, almost didn’t complete the form, almost talked themselves out of it at the last second.
Every single one of them is glad they didn’t.
You don’t need to feel ready. You don’t need to feel hopeful. You don’t need to have it figured out or know what to say or believe that it’s going to work. You just need to do one thing.

We are not going to promise you that the next eight weeks will be easy. We are going to promise you something far more important than that.
We are going to promise you that the world is not better off without you in it. And we are going to spend eight weeks proving it to you
